Arrival/Dismissal Procedures

School Hours

Buses arrival and K - 5  Student Drop off:8:45 am – 9:00 am
Pre-K Arrival:  8:55 am 
Attendance and morning announcements: 9:00 am
Pre-K  Dismissal: 2:30 pm 
Afternoon dismissal begins at 3:25.

K - 5 Students will be considered dismissed early if they leave before 3:25.

BOCES Pre-School & School Age Programs, please refer to the information provided by the classroom teachers.  

 

Drop off procedures at arrival
(8:45 - 9:00 ):

School doors cannot be unlocked until 8:45 a.m. Please park in the parking lot & walk your child to the crosswalk. Kindergarten through Second Grade can utilize the first crosswalk, and enter the building at door #14.  Third through Fifth Grades can utilize the second crosswalk and enter at door #1.  We will have faculty and staff outside to ensure that your child walks safely into the building. 
Drop off procedures after arrival: 

Please park in the parking lot, and walk your child into the building. using the main entrance  (door #1).  You will fill out Student Attendance form.  Your child will be given a late pass for class.

Pick-up procedures during school hours:

Please recognize that the attendance line is strictly for reporting students absent. If you have to pick your child up during school hours we ask that you send in a note, or notify the Main Office at 349-5609 or 349-5601. Once you arrive , and have provided picture identification, we will call your student to the greeter's desk to be dismissed. 

Pick-up procedures at dismissal on a regular basis:

Please fill out the pink dismissal form included in your student's summer mailing.  If you need another, please reach out the the Main Office, or download it below.  
Your child will be on the daily dismissal list per this form, unless we hear from you. Your student will be dismissed to the cafeteria at 3:25 p.m.  Door 21 will open at 3:20 p.m. You must provide photo identification.

Pick-up procedures on an as needed basis:

Please send in a note with your student, or notify the Main Office at 349-5609 or 349-5601. It is very helpful if the adult picking your student is included in the note.   Your student will be dismissed to the cafeteria at 3:25 p.m.  Door 21 will open at 3:20 p.m. You must provide photo identification.


Who is allowed to pick up my child:

Please fill out the green release form that is included in your student's summer mailing.  If you need another, please reach out the the Main Office, or download it below.  Any person included on this list will have permission to pick your child up at any time.  
If you need someone to pick your child on a certain occasion, you can send in a note with the person's name, and remind them to bring photo identification.
