Physical Therapy

Kinetic Scale

We work to keep our bodies as healthy as possible so that we can be the best learners we can be.

What is school-based physical therapy (PT)?

School-based physical therapists are concerned with motor function that influences the physical performance of the student in educationally related activities. The physical therapist will address the tasks that hinder the student's academic progress or participation including gross motor skills, posture, strength, endurance, balance, and coordination. This is often done through games and directed play to make PT a fun and productive experience!

Camp Puzzle Peace  Camp Puzzle Peace is a grassroots non-profit organization created by a collaboration of educators and parents. Our mission is to provide traditional family experiences for families dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental delays. We provide skill-building opportunities to families and children that promote independence, healthy active lifestyles, networking and greater opportunities for families to participate in their community. Check out their Fall/Winter 2014 Programs! Camp Puzzle Peace offers art, music, water safety, horseback riding, sensory-friendly planetarium shows, a running team, sibling workshops, and more.

Total Sports Experience (TSE) Adapted PE Program
This new program offered at TSE, allows children with special needs to have a safe and encouraging environment to help them develop their motor skills. We welcome all children interested in sports and physical activity regardless of ability level. Not only do we strive to improve physical activity and sport skills, but we also provide a social environment where children and parents can interact while involved with classes and learn new ways to play and interact with their children. Our program will focus on a different movement patter or "sport skill" each week (throwing, rolling, kicking, etc.). These skills will be taught through fun interactive games including parents and peers. Space is limited so don't delay!
